I would like to start a close reading of Language and Magic (1956) by Izutsu Toshihiko if for no other reason than the title of the book being unlike any I have ever seen.
In order to help us fully understand the work, I thought it wise to start with a brief introduction to Izutsu and his work in general before jumping into the book.
